The Umayyad in Al-Andalusia showed great care for administrational regulations, especially after they consolidated their control of the country.

This led to the appearance of many administrative occupations of which the "Writer's" occupation was one of the most important.

This importance bred the need to attract the most educated elite of the writers cast, those possessing the greatest skills in the arts of writing.

The Umayyad set certain conditions that had to be met by those intending to occupy the position of writer, the most important were loyalty to the state and administrative and educational proficiency, The unique importance of the position of the "writer "made him the one nearest to the Umayyad ruler second only to the "Hajib", being considered the ruler's secretary, confidant and most trusted consultant, giving him this this excellent status, earning him respect and appreciation by the royal family, and letting him enjoy many social and economic privileges, which led to strong competition for the position.

The "Zajjaly" family was one of the families that acquired this position through their literary and administrative gifts, All this is attributed to the efforts of the founder of the family "Muhammad bin Saeed Al Zajjaly" who possessed unequaled literary gifts leading to him being called "Al-Asma'ee" because of his talents and intelligence that enabled him to reach this position.

The "Zajjaly" family became one of the most loyal families to the Umayyad state in "Al-Andalusia" forming strong connections and enhancing their role in the state through filling many administrative positions, the most important of which was the position of the "writer", They showed great skill and competence ,gaining the admiration and trust of the Umayyad who made this position hereditary in the family, which secured their perpetual loyalty and devotion.
