Abstract EN

In this study, one of the prominent personalities of the second Abbasid era was shed light on,namely the slave girl, Shaghab.

The lady,Shaghab, Played a major role during that stage of this era,taking advnage of the critical conditions that the caliphate was going through at that time .This was evident through the great role she did in the political field and how she was able to put her son Almuqtadir Billah under her control, as well as her direct intervention in the dismissal and appointment of ministers and judges.

This was done through the slsnder and striving that she was carrying out against her opponents ,Also she relied on the lining and the entourage of her own from the chiefs.

The study also addressed the civilized role of the lady Shaghab and a lor of contributions in this field by doing a lot of works of public interest such as building the Binaristan and contributing to the care of the poor people, which had a great impact on the general community.
