The coronavirus pandemic has become the most common subject nowadays.

It is the recent crisis that attacks the world.

So, it is significant, when making a pragmadiscourse study, to be concerned with the arguments that deal with such a topic.

This study is dedicated to examine one of the CNN‟s articles on Omicron, the latest variant of Coronavirus.

However, Eemeren‟s Pragma Dialectical Model has been applied to analyze a selected article on CNN, the American Channel, that covered Coronavirus Omicron Variant news and how the United States dealt with such a variant.

As speech acts are vital in the process of analyzing such a text, the study investigates these acts to show how the arguer uses them to defend his standpoint and convince the audience.

To do so, the argumentation structure is also determined.
