The study aims to know the impact of the diversity of the variable goal orientations independent of its dimensions (learning goal orientation, performance goal orientation-validation and performance goal orientation-avoidance), which was determined based on me (Vande Walle, 1997).

in strategic thinking as a mediating variable with its dimensions (reflection, organizational awareness, destination analysis and model discrimination), which was determined based on (Sanjay Dhir, etal: 2018).

given the importance of the security sector and its impact in the country, the study was conducted on all the subordinates of the ministry of interior in Karbala governorate.

the views of a sample of (314) senior and middle leaders in the organization in question, who are of the rank of (lieutenant colonel, colonel, brigadier, and major general) were surveyed through the questionnaire as a main tool for obtaining data and information.
