The effects of languages on each other throughout history is a natural occurrence in living languages.

languages are affected by each other due to many factors, and perhaps one of the most important factors that helped Turkish influence the Iraqi dialect was the ottoman empire's control over these areas, which lasted for nearly eight centuries.

landmarks, and this sovereignty lasted until the beginning of the twentieth century.

despite the long period of ottoman sovereignty, it continued to be exercised through a central authority "outside the Arab countries", which had an impact on the survival of the conditions of Arab societies, and was also affected by them despite their departure, in architecture and some customs, traditions, foods and common words.

it is worth noting that the political, commercial, social and cultural relations that exist between peoples speaking different languages, with the passage of time, lead to a state of impacts and exchange between the languages of those peoples, and it is not secret that the Arabs and the Turks have many things in common, such as religion, history and culture.

all these factors led to the creation of a state of mutual influence between the two languages, until the exchange of words between them became inevitable.

however, the Arabic language prevailed in the issue of influencing the languages of non-Arabic speaking Muslim peoples, due to its being the language of the holy Qur’an, and this is what happened with the Turkish language.
