Abstract EN

Document of the city (Madinah) is considered to be an initial constitution contained great senses to construct a state and the stability of the society, it contained as well civilizational dimensions which express the ability of Islamic political thought to construct the state as well as the civilization.

The research has contained four axes: First: The most important constitutional highlights in the Document of the city (Madinah) are: 1.

Specifying the supreme authority to the executive, legislative and judicial powers.

2.

Specifying the concept of Nation (the Islamic Nation) and the coalitions followed them to guarantee the rights of the society.

3.

Specifying the elements of the state which are people, constitution, Governing authority and Sovereign region.

Second: Achieving justice and equivalence as well as Conflict resolution in the society.

As we have seen how the document has paid attention to the principle of justice and equivalence then appealing to the supreme leadership to settle the conflicts and to know the rights and duties.

Third: Achieving the principle of peaceful and social coexistence with setting up the base of citizenship.

As we have seen how the document has contained the rights of all and left pre-Islamic paganism traditions which were replaced by moral concepts and ideals which have changed the intellectual and cultural reality of the Islamic society towards establishing civilization, then we have recognized that the principle of citizenship is a noble origin principle adopted by the Islamic political thought as a measure and standard for the native of the country.

Forth: the political data of the document of city has emphasized on the centrality of human and the administration of social justice and a state with well-established institutions, it emphasized also on the principle of peaceful coexistence and respect others and embodying the principle of citizenship.
