This study tackles employing prophetic hadith of the context to determine the meaning of homonymy.

it is also to prefer the meaning which suits well the context of the hadith and which expresses the meaning without any ambiguity or delusion.

this can be done through dependence on some of the hadith evidence employed in these words.

the study showed that the prophetic context plays a vital and influential role in directing the connotation of homonymy and determining its meaning according to accurate rules to get to the meanings and purposes of the hadith.

the thesis includes an introduction and the first topic: understanding the hadith in the light of the context presumption.

it includes two requirements: first: the concept of context; second: the importance of context in understanding texts and how hadith scholars are concerned with it.
