Abstract EN

The study addresses the daily and temporary work journey in Ha'il region as an applied geographical aspect of the population.

the study sought to discover the spaces which the female employee travelled during her daily journey focusing on knowing the most prominent roads and the transportation means used and its driver.

collecting data of study relied on through fieldwork through a randomly sampled questionnaire included 488 female passengers during working hours.

descriptive study used quantitative and deductive approaches in analyzing such data.

study analysis showed many results, the most important of which was that the number of the female employees travelling outside Ha'il was directly proportional to the size of the town and villages population in which they work.

the distance average for female passenger travelled per joumey is 103.1 km.

chi-square tests have established that there is a strong correlation between the work location of the female employees and the temporal and spatial distance and economic cost from the daily work.

finally, the study offered some results, the most important of which was that the officials of the ministry of education shall pay attention to the distance between the female employees’ residence and work location.
