Abstract EN

This study aims to know the level of emotional intelligence among students at Mouloud Mammeri university in Tizi Ouzou and to reveal differences in the level of emotional intelligence according to the variables of gender and specialization.

the study was conducted on a sample of (87) male and female students in various specializations.

we relied on the emotional intelligence scale prepared by researcher Ben Amour Jamila (2017), which consists of 29 statements divided into four dimensions: knowledge of emotions, regulation of emotions, management of emotions, and empathy.

the results of the study revealed that the level of emotional intelligence among university students is high, with no differences in the level of emotional intelligence depending on the variables of gender and specialization.
