Abstract EN

This research paper aims to highlight the impact of oil revenues on sustainable development in Algeria during the period 1980-2020.

considering that the indicators of sustainable development (GDP, unemployment rate, average per capita carbon dioxide emissions) reflect the dependent variables, and oil revenues reflect the independent variables, where a standard statistical approach was used using the autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) approach.

where the results concluded that there is a long-term equilibrium relationship between oil revenues and all indicators representing the dimensions of development, and there is a direct positive relationship between oil revenues and GDP, and an inverse significant relationship between oil revenues and unemployment rate.

in addition, there is no relationship between oil revenues and average per capita carbon dioxide emissions in the short term.
