Elections constitute a necessary condition for the establishment of any democratic government, as they are the tool that allows the people to freely express their will, as they fall within the framework of expressing sovereignty, conferring legitimacy on governance, and establishing the foundations of authority, because when the government gains its legitimacy through holding fair and transparent democratic elections, the intensity of the conflict is reduced.

non-democratic rule over power, especially since it has become clear that governments that were not chosen by their people in a democratic and transparent manner are the governments that are most vulnerable to instability and unrest, and are the most vulnerable to coups, rebellion and violence.
