Abstract EN

This study aims to investigate the role of endowment sukuk in managing and developing water security projects in the Arab world, and to explore the economic potentials that endowment sukuk provide for sustainable water security projects.

The paper stems from the hypothesis that the research seeks to confirm, which is that the Islamic endowment system contains enormous economic potential that qualifies it to play an important role in financing the needs of development projects, and relieving pressure on official expenditures.

We divided the research into three main axes, the first axis was to clarify the reality of endowment instruments and to show their financing characteristics, the second axis discussed theoretical procedural steps (the organizational framework), and the third axis suggested the most important practical suggestions that reveal the role of endowment instruments in supporting water security projects.
