Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify obstacles to achieving quality in public education from the point of view of educational supervisors in the Directorate of Education in South Hebron, and to reveal the existence of differences between the sample members according to the variables: (gender, academic qualification).

The study followed the descriptive and analytical approach.

The study sample consisted of (40) supervisors working in the South Hebron Education Directorate, and the questionnaire was used to collect data.

The results of the study indicated that obstacles to achieving quality in public education are generally high, The ranking areas of obstacles to achieving quality in public education came: (obstacles related to school administration; obstacles related to regulations and instructions; obstacles related to the teacher; obstacles related to students; obstacles related to parents and the local community; obstacles related the curriculum; obstacles related to the school environment).

The study came out with several recommendations, including: (Equity to the teacher financially and achieving job security for him, and good training for students in universities in a manner appropriate to what is required in schools, improving the level of university education).
