Medieval Hebrew poetry arose in an Andalusian environment and developed its forms that were drawn from Arabic poetry, and derived many images from it that leaked into the Hebrew poem, and merged with its other components, including the theme of "love" which is manifested in the "al-ghazal".

In this article, we seek to shed light on the manifestations of this topic in Andalusian Hebrew poetry: how did the Jewish poet subject it to a certain system and add to it certain significations that were mixed with its Arab components through the analysis of poem Yehuda Halevi?
