Abstract EN

Insurance sector is regarded as one of the main pillars on which countries' economics erect because it provides the needed safety for business against the risks it encounters.

further, people and business' awareness of the significance of insurance sector urge them to enroll in the insurance family will provide the insurance sector with significant revenues that can be directed to the economical units which suffer from financial shortage to incorporate in accelerating work and production and ensure subsequent increase in the national income and overcome economic deterioration.

the study has come up with certain findings amongst which is that the problems which the Iraqi insurance sector suffer from are related to security as well as the decrease in the performance of economic sectors which signify the cornerstone of insurance sector.

the study recommends that it is important to adopt experiences of successful markets such as applying new tools programs to improve insurance business and raise peoples' awareness regarding insurance culture and also establishing specialized departments in insurance business at major state and private industrial companies in Iraqi ministries and provinces.
