This study aims to identify the challenges and obstacles that negatively affect the extraction of knowledge from experiences in the "Hemmtak" initiative in the development program of the Ministry of National Guard, and to produce solid scientific results through which scientific recommendations can be reached that may be useful in overcoming these challenges.

On the descriptive approach using the case study method, the data were collected using the interview list to reach qualitative conclusions.

The results of the study revealed many challenges that negatively affect the extraction of knowledge from experiences, most notably: the absence of organizational culture, the weakness of the material or moral incentives provided, resistance to change, the lack of developmental training programs that qualify and train project managers in the field of knowledge extraction mechanisms, and the limited methods of Mechanisms for extracting knowledge from experiences and documenting them.

The study also made a number of recommendations, the most important of which are: the establishment of independent administrative units for knowledge management that are directly linked to the management of development and change, and the work team in these units is formed from an elite group of experts who are selected based on clear and appropriate criteria, a review of the incentive system followed and work to develop it to meet With the needs and aspirations of the employees, providing the necessary requirements for effectively extracting the knowledge of experiences by creating an integrated technical infrastructure, operating computerized systems based on knowledge, creating a creative organizational culture, creating an administrative leadership with experience in extracting and managing knowledge, and increasing attention to organizational memory so that it is not an obstacle to extract knowledge.
