The current study aimed to identify the impact of information technology on cooperation between university libraries, the most important advantages that should be provided therein, the importance and benefits of this electronic cooperation based on information technology and the most important areas in which university libraries can cooperate in It also dealt with the relationship of electronic cooperation with the development of the technology of the World Wide Web and its new applications.

The study adopted the descriptive approach to answer the research questions raised by the study, and the study came out with a set of results, the most important of which is that electronic cooperation is necessary for libraries in the electronic environment, because of its great importance in the life and survival of university libraries, as well as their growth and prosperity in light of the new economy and the continuous developments in technology Information and communication that supported this cooperation, and the study also suggested a set of proposals, including the necessity of having programs to train and qualify all university library employees to use information and communication technology because of its importance in promoting cooperation through mandatory and voluntary training programs according to job requirements and employees' desires
