The intangible cultural heritage is the main part of the popular national and human memory; this one should to be protected, and documented, in order to save it from being lost and forgotten, owing to its spiritual (moral) nature.

the intangible cultural heritage plays a major role in preserving cultural diversity from globalization risks and illegal exploitation.

therefore, the intangible cultural heritage presents the local cultural particularities of groups, and contributes to promoting dialogue between cultures, civilizations and religions.

Algeria like all countries, possess a rich and varied intangible heritage, and given the danger that threaten it, the Algerian legislator has tried to adopt a legal system to protect it, however this protection remains insufficient.
