Abstract EN

"Briefness and exaggeration are among the distinct rhetorical methods that have an impact on the same listener, and these two colors are among the most extensive and widespread rhetorical colors in Arabic speech and the honorable prophetic hadith, and some of the advantages and aesthetics of speech are due to it; because it contains the approximation of meanings and the deletion of some words that have many and varied connotatio the hadiths of the prophet, may god bless him and grant him peace, were full of these two techniques.

where the prophet, may god's prayers and peace be upon him, used the methods of omission, lengthening, addition, clarification, and teaching in his speech.

at the forefront of these methods comes the method of "brevity and exaggeration." these two rhetorical colors give the poetic or prophetic text creative and aesthetic aesthetics; where they work to highlight the meanings in an innovative and sensual image; this is to clarify the mysterious, bring the distant closer, and show the reasonable in the form of the sensible.

that is why i chose to present my research, which came under the title (brevity and overstatement in the prophetic hadith (book of Sunan Abi Dawood as a model) (an applied rhetorical study) ns that carry rhetorical aesthetics".

i have resorted to this rhetorical type that is included in the science of meanings to Abyan the advantages of the ejaw and the tunab and their types and the secret of their beauty in the prophetic hadith, and to highlight its aesthetics through the hadiths of the prophet, peace be upon him, which imam Abi Dawood brought out in his Sunan; where i will analyze the hadiths that included brevity and overstatement to show the rhetorical secrets in them.
