Abstract EN

In this article, we address the nature of the local political power in the ancient Maghreb, across three different times, from the beginnings of leadership, we observe that through the rock art found in the region, then we rely on the Egyptian antiquities of the pharaonic period also perpetuate the Libyan tribes adjacent to them.

they gave us indications of some political aspects that show the relationship between the tribe and its leader, and we see how the tribe chooses its leader, and the conditions to be available.

by reference to Greek and roman sources that spoke about the region, we find the local kingdoms mentioned with different names.

they established a local political system led by kings who played a prominent role in the local and international political scene at that time, especially during the roman-Carthage conflict.
