Abstract EN

The aim of this research is to investigate the uses of the term (Sadouq) by imam al-Ejli in his book "al-Thiqat " in order to reach the concept of this term, which he badly needed, and to highlight its scientific value.

that will be achieved by tracing the critics' judgements on the narrators he described as being Sadoug (very truthful), which prompted the study to address three points: the first: the narrator described by imam solely as (Sadouq).

the second: the narrator who was described by the imam with the term Sadouq combined with other terms.

and the third point: the narrator about whom the imam quoted others' descriptive commentaries.

the research reveals the meaning behind this disputed term of one of the imams of the noble hadith, which is the focus of this study that uses mixed methods namely: the inductive approach, the analytical, and the critical approach.
