Abstract EN

The research deals with the speech-act theory-an applied and theoretical study-as it is one of the most important elements of the pragmatic approach.

it aims to realize the process of the speech-act pragmatics in the poem entitled (corona) by Abdul Aziz al-Hammami.

the different kinds of the speech acts are reflected clearly in that poetic text, where the poet uses a coordinated series of these actions, through which he is able to repeat the valuable call to the need of staying at home.

adhering to such acts would lead to salvation and protection from this epidemic that frightens humanity.

the poet tries, through his poem, to influence the audience; since this tendency represents an activity directed to a goal, it was more precisely defined as a linguistic act.

the research is divided into an introduction, and two chapters.

the first chapter is entitled: speech acts / essence and types.

the second chapter is entitled: speech acts / text and procedure.

the conclusion presents the most important findings of the research and is followed by the most important sources and references.
