Abstract EN

The current study aimed to develop a list of standards and indicators for gifted mathematics education and learning programs in the middle school curricula, to reveal their availability in those curricula, and to develop a proposed general framework for developing mathematics curricula at that stage that meets the needs of these students.

The study relied on the descriptive approach based on content analysis of the mathematics curricula, and used a card to analyze the content of mathematics books in the first grade, the average of the first semester of the academic year 2021 AD.

It included : the student's book, the exercise book, the teacher's book, the calendar guide, and the teacher's resource booklets for classroom activities.

The study reached several results, including: the scarcity of formulation of procedural goals related to gifted students at different levels, and the content also included some activities related to the processes of communication, thinking, reasoning, mathematical interdependence, and strategies for solving the mathematical problem, and the content did not include any enrichment activities for gifted students, and the organization of sports experiences The enrichment, deepening or expansion was not followed, and the techniques and digital formulas were not utilized within the mathematics curricula to develop the abilities of talented students, and a deficiency was noted in the evaluation component, especially the real evaluation, as it did not include any tools or strategies to measure or discover talent among students at the general level or qualitative in mathematics.

The study provided a general framework for developing mathematics curricula at the intermediate stage to meet the needs of gifted students, and accordingly, a set of recommendations and suggestions were presented.
