Abstract EN

The current research aimed to identify the effectiveness of a proposed unit based on infographics for developing digital skills among primary school pupils.

The experimental design with one group and pre and post-measurement was used.

The research sample consisted of (30) male and female primary school pupils of grade six.

The following tools were used: -an achievement test -an observation card.

The results include :There are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.01) between the average scores of the research group in the two measurements, the pre and post measurements of the total score of the achievement test, in favor of the post-measurement so that t-value was (20.82), which is statistically significant at the level of (0.01).

The effect size value (d) amounted to (3.87), and the effect size value using the "Eta Squared" equation was (0.94), which is a large value, indicating that the program has great effectiveness in developing the digital skills of the research group.

There are statistically significant differences at the level of (0.01) between the average scores of the research group in the pre and post measurements of the total score of the observation card, in favor of the post-measurement so that t-value was (32.06), which is a statistically significant value at the level of significance (0.01).

The effect size value (d) amounted to (5.95), and the effect size value using the "Eta Squared" equation was (0.97), which is a large value, indicating that the level of the effect is very large and educationally important to use a proposed unit in computer and information and communication technology subject based on infographics in developing the performance aspect of digital skills as a whole as well as for the sub-skills separately.
