Trends and motives for exposing Libyan university youth to foreign drama on foreign and Arab satellite channels and through Internet websites.

The study aims at identifying the trends and motives for the exposure of Libyan university youth to watching foreign drama on foreign and Arab satellite channels and via the Internet, to know the reasons for the exposure to this type of drama, know the most important foreign and Arab satellite channels for watching foreign drama and identify foreign drama websites and how to access them online.

This study belongs to descriptive research in which the survey methodology was used, and in its framework the method of surveying media practice methods was employed.

The researchers also used the theory of usage and gratification, and the data was collected using the questionnaire tool.

The questionnaire was distributed to a simple random sample of 126 individuals from the students of the Faculty of Arts, Omar Al-Mukhtar University, Al- Bayda.

The researchers also benefited from previous studies that were selected based on the novelty of their achievement and the diversity of the societies in which they were conducted.

The study reached several results the most important of them were: 1- The high turnout of Libyan university youth, the study sample, to watch the foreign drama on satellite channels and on the Internet, by 93.3%.

2- MBC2 channel was the most-watched channel with 100%, followed by Fox Series with 83.2% 3- The most popular website for foreign drama in the study sample was Egg Best with a percent of 93.3%, followed by my cim.

4- The most important motives for watching foreign dramas on satellite channels and via the Internet were confined to "identifying the problems of society" with a relative weight of 66.6, followed by "to be a conversation between friends" with a relative weight of 60.
