Abstract EN

This paper has been presented to discuss the problem of national sovereignty in facing the international community, as it is one of the basic elements on which the state is based and on which international law and contemporary international relations are based.

As the principle of sovereignty strives for equality between states and represents the core to enter the international scene.

This paper used the descriptive and analytical approach in terms of describing the concept of sovereignty, its characteristics and types, and analyzing the legal scope of sovereignty and the position of international law regarding it.

The paper reached to set of conclusions and recommendations, which were inferred after what was presented in this paper, which came as a natural result of what was included in the paper.

These results demonstrated the national sovereignty and its problem facing the international community.
