Abstract EN

This research aims to study one of Abu Firas Al-Hamdani's "Roumiyat", and to determine the functioning of emotions in it according to the semiotic approach, and to reveal the relationships that link the hidden texts by tracing the meaning process with the functioning of emotions in the poem and the extent of their psychological impact on the poetic self, as well as the fusion of tragic emotions in the shadows of meaning.

The poetic self, therefore, retrieved a number of images of admonition and sadness in reproachful situations.
