تعد الوثائق الصورة الحقيقية المعبرة للأحداث التاريخية، وبوجودها دراسة التاريخ ومجرياته تتسم بالمصداقية العلمية والمعرفية، وبدونها (اي الوثائق ( تكون دراسة الماضي ضربا من الخيال والاسطورة وفي ضوء ذلك يأتي هذا البحث بوصفه محاولة للتعريف بالوثائق وإيجاد هوية معرفية لها عبر التعريج على ماهيتها وأهميتها وهو ما حواه المحور الاول، فضلا عن دراسة نماذج من الوثائق الاميركية المعاصرة الخاصة بالعراق ، لما لها من أهمية في الوقوف على أبرز الاستراتيجيات المتبعة من واشنطن إزاء العراق في مرحلة سياسية أتسمت بالتعقيد والخطورة وهي مرحلة اواسط السبعينيات من القرن الماضي، وهو ما سلط عليه الضوء في المحور الثاني من البحث.
Abstract EN
Documents are the true and expressive picture of historical events, with their presence the study of history and its course is characterized by scientific and epistemological credibility, and without them (ie documents), the study of the past is a kind of fantasy and legend.
In the light of this, this research comes as an attempt to define the documents and find a cognitive identity for them by explaining their nature and importance, which is what the first axis contained, as well as studying examples of contemporary American documents related to Iraq, because of their importance in standing on the most prominent strategies adopted by Washington towards Iraq.
In a political stage characterized by complexity and danger, which is the stage of the mid-seventies of the last century, which was highlighted in the second axis of the research.
