Hammams are considered as one of the most important public facilities that received special attention in civilized nations, especially among the Muslim community, where it received constructions and extensions that require monitoring and to be subjected to the Muhtasib.

we will address in our study the application of the hisbah system, and it’s compatibility with the Islamic law principles in order to preserve public safety, and the moral values enjoining al-Ma`ruf and forbidding al Munkar.
