There have been many definitions associated with the term interpretation because this term carries a broad semantic load at the level of connotation anyone who observes the history of philosophy will find that the concept of interpretation has been closely linked to the attempt to interpret religious texts, with the aim of arriving at decoding these texts.

anyone who follows the history of the development of the term interpretation, whether in Arab-Islamic philosophy or western philosophy, will find that there is a kind of agreement regarding the concept of interpretation in the Arab-Islamic and western philosophies.

therefore, the aim of this research was to identify the most important philosophical definitions of the concept of interpretation in the Arab Islamic and Jewish philosophies.
