The research deals with the role of Alexander Haig in the foreign Policy of the United State of America towards Iraq during his tenure as Minister of Foreign Affairs for the period from January 22, 1981 to July 5, 1982.

Hague's assumption of office coincided with the outbreak of the Iran-Iraq war, the United States found in Iraq a god to contain and weaken Iran, from this standpoint, Hague worked to establish diplomatic relations with Iraq that would secure the influence of his country and oil supplies and remove Soviet influence from the region, protecting "Israel's" security and keeping the danger away from it by accepting "Israel's" arming of Iran during the war in order to keep the war equal, to exhaust its two sides, and to make it within a narrow scope because the two sides of the conflict pose a threat to the interests of the interests of the United States in the region, and allowing "Israel" to bomb the Iraqi nuclear reactor on June 7,1981, and thus the US State Department dealt during the Hague era in an ideology that served its interests and the interests of "Israel".
