Abstract EN

This study aimed at identifying the degree to which the textbooks of Islamic education for the upper basic classes consider the requirements of developmental stage from the perspective of teachers in the district of southern Ghour as well as the relationship of that with the variables of (educational qualification &years of experience).

in order to achieve the study objectives, a 38-item questionnaire was developed; its validity and reliability were verified.

the study sample consisted of (40) male and female teachers for the subject of Islamic education for the upper basic grades.

the results revealed that the degree to which the textbooks of Islamic education for the upper basic classes consider the requirements of developmental stage from the perspective of teachers in the district of southern Ghour was high for all the domains.

the social dimension was in the first place, followed by the mental dimension, the emotional dimension and finally the somatic dimension.

the results revealed that there are no statistically significant differences in the responses of Islamic education teachers about the degree to which the textbooks of Islamic education for the upper basic classes consider the requirements of developmental stage due to the variables of (educational qualification &years of experience), except for the educational domain, the results revealed that there are statistically significant differences attributed to the variable of (years of experience) in favor of (less than 10 years).based on the results, the study recommended conduct similar studies on the observance of Islamic education books for other classes and stages of study for the developmental characteristics of students.
