Abstract EN

I found a manuscript of this treatise that talks about the precept of offering supererogatory prayers while laid down by the Hanbali jurist Abu Abdullah Ibn Mohamed Al-Munbiji.

Then I opt- ed to analyze and verify it.

It is divided into two sections: Section 1: An overview of the treatise and its author.

I gave the author’s detail: name, birth, upbringing, his school of thought, commen- dation of scholars about him, his works, and his death.

Then the treatise was described, in terms of authenticity of authorship, its importance, and why it was written.

Then I outlined the author’s approach in his treatise, as described the manuscript, and my contribution in verifying it.

Section 2: The text of the treatise: Presenting and confirming the text of the treatise, attending to anything that is required like authentication, extrapolation of Hadiths and sunnah, locating the verses of the Qur’an, verifying the consensus in its sources, attributing the statements of Muslim jurists to their approved sources, and clarifying what I think needs clarification of exotic or ambiguous words.
