Amongst the prominent personalities of Andalusia in the Sects' Age was Al-Mutamad Ibn-Abbad on both ranks: politically and literally, at that time he was an eminent and a famous poet; also he has left us a poetic divan no one of the Sects' Kings have left like him.

Yet he was captured by Yusuf Ibn-Tashfeen (date: 500 AH) the Prince of the Almoravids into a dead-end enemy and he died in his captivity in the event of a monstrous case neither heard nor seen, and due to the tragic events he has experienced at his life-end, does this mean that all his poetry is grievous? Or are there any poetic scenes of gladness? If there are any, are they pure gladness scenes or are they comminuted with other emotions? And what are their main poetry features? That is what this article will attempt to detect through study and analysis.
