The surge of the Al-Aqsa upheaval has stirred many prevailing circumstances, notably the dilemma surrounding the Palestinian cause post-Oslo Accords and the subsequent normalization between Israel and some Arab states, alongside attempts to resolve the Palestinian issue.

This study probes the problematic relationship between the state and society, or rather, the relationship of the colonial-settler state with the indigenous population, and how the settler state employs various techniques of subjugation, purification, genocide, and displacement to end the Palestinian cause.

What does the Al-Aqsa event represent in terms of reinvigorating the Palestinian cause, and does this issue move towards liberation or a new catastrophe? What new challenges might the Al-Aqsa upheaval pose for Israel's future as an occupying and settler state?
