This research aims to situate the phenomenon of protest in Morocco within a sociological framework that relies on understanding the sociopolitical relationships between the state's production logic of protest and its popular practice as a strategy of resistance.

It seeks to deconstruct the cultural and political history and its impact on social rejection in the Moroccan society's mental structure.

The justifications for this sociological interrogation are based on the premise that protests in Morocco are an engineering of public space.

This is because the political pattern uses references of the Islamic imaginary to feed the mind and social representation around protest, portraying it as "fitna" or a departure from obedience to the Imam and the ruler in Muslim lands.
