Abstract EN

The research interested in studying the economic integration experiences between Arab countries during the period 1990-2020, in order to find out the reasons for their lack of success as desired, and the most important components and obstacles.

the most important economic obstacles are that the economic integration experiences between Arab countries were not based on economic foundations, as the Arab blocs were motivated by the idea of Arab nationalism and the desire to exist, imitation or compatibility with the political framework of countries, in addition to the similarity of production structures and the structure of exports and imports, economic and financial dependency, and the rule of the pattern primary production and structural imbalances in the economies of member states, which led to weak economic stimulus and lack of seriousness of member states to work for the success of integration, in addition to lack of coordination of economic policies, weak infrastructure and means of linking between these countries, lack of readiness of production elements, and preference for states those have financial surpluses to invest their investments outside the integration area.

this is in addition to many political and organizational obstacles.

the research focused on the ways to treat these obstacles and drew a general framework for treating economic, political and organizational obstacles, to support economic integration efforts between these countries.
