Abstract EN

The university is an effective means for instilling secial values, as it is the one that prepares young people who are able to give in response to medern changes.

therefore, the current research aims to: clarify the role of the university in developing social values for students, identify the reality of social values in light of the digital age for university students, and identify on the method of employing the digital age to develop social values among students, and knowing the viewpoint of students of the departments of social work and sociology on the role of the university.

the researcher used the descriptive analytical method for its relevance to this type of research, and the research sample consisted of all students of the departments of social service and the department of seciology at the faculty of arts- university of Tobruk, where the number of male students was (23), and female students (45) in the department of social service for the three stages with a total of (68).

), while the number of male students was (46) and females (19), in the sociology department for the four stages in total (65), and the researcher used the questionnaire tool to collect data, and the researcher reached the following results : first, the results : 1.

by extracting the results of the question directed to the research sample (in your opinion, how is the role of the university activated in developing social values in the digital age?), it was found from the answers of the social service research sample that a percentage (19.1%) stressed the need for good communication between members of the teaching and students, while the meeting's responses amounted to (20.0%) about the necessity ef directing students to adhere to the correct teachings of religion.

2-by extrapolating the results of the special question about (the role of the university in developing students' social values), the sample answers confirmed the necessity of (encouraging a culture of respect and the exchange of trust and opinion with ethers) with a total weight of (357), a weighted average (2.7), and a standard deviation (1.4)) second : recommendations 1- reconsidering university education curricula within the framework of general value orientations in a way that highlights the importance of secial values in the lives of society and individuals and in a manner that leads to the development of values among students, and the development and modernization of courses so that they follow rapid practical development.
