Abstract EN

This study aimed to know the extent to which life skills are included in Islamic education books for the first three grades in Jordan.

The researcher used the content analysis form and verified its validity and stability, and accordingly the content analysis process was carried out.

The results of the content analysis indicated that the total number of life skills received (501) recurrences, and the highest in the Islamic education book for the first basic grade with a total of (256) recurrences and a percentage of (51.09%), and the Islamic education book for the third basic grade came second with a total of (133) recurrences and a percentage of (26.54%), and the Islamic education book for the second basic grade came third with a total of (112) recurrences and a percentage of (22.35%).

The study came out with a set of recommendations, the most important of which are: Paying attention to the list of life skills prepared by the researcher and taking into account its inclusion in Islamic education books for the first three grades in a sequential manner, and conducting educational activities to introduce teachers of Islamic education emphasis on the importance of life skills and the necessity of imparting them to students within teaching practices and lesson activities.
