Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the degree to which school administrations practice the principles of participatory leadership and its relationship to the job immersion of teachers affiliated with public schools in Al-Balqa Governorate from the teachers’ point of view.

In the Salt region, which numbered (1243) male and female teachers, the study tool was applied to a sample of them consisting of (445) male and female teachers, as the sample members were selected using the simple random method.

The teachers' point of view came to a high degree, in all its dimensions (after human relations, after decision-making, and after negotiation).

And there were no statistically significant differences at the level (≤ 0.05) of the degree to which school administrations practice the principles of participatory leadership and the level of teachers' job immersion due to the variables (gender, educational qualification and years of experience).

And that the level of teachers' job immersion came to a high degree on all items of the (functional immersion) scale, and there was a positive correlation between school administrations' practice of the principles of participatory leadership and the level of teachers' job immersion.

The study recommended several recommendations, including: conducting a comparative study between the practice of participatory leadership in public and private schools, and knowing the level of job immersion.
