Abstract EN

This study aimed to investigate the educational and social contents in Al Imran chapter (or Surah) in the Holy Quran.

to carry out the study, the researcher employed the analytical and deductive approaches by referring to the books of interpretation and prophetic hadiths.

some other contemporary interpretations of AL Imran surah from some interpretative books such as the book "qur'anic thoughts" for Amr Khaled was also used as a reference.

the study constitutes an introduction and two other major research chapters.

the introduction presented the definition of the topic, study problem, study objectives, importance of study and methodology.

in the first chapter, the study discussed the definition of the surah, its position, and its topics.

in the second chapter, the study presented the educational contents in AL imran surah, the study revealed the following results: the surah affirms faith contents including (calling to reconsider on the universe, the creation of the heavens and the earth, the clear signs and evidences of the oneness of the almighty Allah and the greatness of his power).

that was followed by the affirmation of social contents including (calling for good and forbidding evil, abstaining from dealing with usury to protect society from economic and social damages).

the researcher concluded with a number of recommendations and suggestions including carrying out further Qura'nic research that probe the educational contents in the chapters of the Holy Qura'n as a whole.
