Abstract EN

This study aimed to investigate the degree to which faculty members in Iraqi universities possess and practice life skills from their point of view.

The study sample consisted of (296) faculty members at the University of Diyala in the academic year (2021-2022); This study followed the descriptive approach.

To achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire was developed consisting of (43) items divided into two areas : the first : the possession of life skills by faculty members in Iraqi universities, and the second : their practice of life skills.

The validity and reliability were confirmed, and applied to the study members.

The results of the study showed that the total score of the arithmetic means was high for the first domain and the second domain, and also showed that there were no differences between the average responses of the study sample members on the degree of possession of faculty members and the degree of their practice of life skills according to the gender variable, and there were differences between the means of their responses on the degree of possession and the degree of Practicing life skills according to the variable of academic rank and the variable of teaching experience, and the results showed a positive correlation between the possession and practice of life skills among faculty members.
