Abstract EN

The research aimed to investigate the Hadramis scientific personalities in Mecca and to find out the extent of the status that they have enjoyed in the scientific and social circles and the role played by some of them in the development of the scientific movement in the field of study through teaching in the courtyards and corridors of the Holy Mosque.

To achieve the goal of the research, the researcher used the descriptive approach where the research contained a preface and two topics: the first one was entitled "the place of the Hadramis scientists in Mecca", and the second was entitled "the most prominent of the Hadramis scientific personalities in Mecca in the eleventh century Hijri", and the research reached a number of more important results, which are: 1) Most scientists are from the Alawite masters, perhaps because of their social attachment, and they belong to the prophetic Al- Atra, and because most of the Hadramis scientists were from this social group that come at the top of the social ladder in Hadramout and enjoy of great respect among most segments of society.

2) The Hadramis scientists received their knowledge in Mecca at the hands of the leading scientists of the Two Holy Mosques, and they excelled in the various Islamic sciences, and their elders authorized them to give fatwas and teach in the Holy Mosque.

3) Hadramis scientists in Mecca have had good relationships with various categories of Mecca society, such as princes, scientists and the general public.

4) Many of them have been inspired by the holy places and preferred permanent residence there, while not forgetting their motherland and their livelihood.

Allah give them the honor of dying and burial in their blessed soil.

Based on these findings, a number of recommendations and suggestions were made: a) Research centers should encourage researchers and those interested in Yemeni heritage to carry out the necessary studies on migration and immigrants in various parts of the world.

b) Our curricula should include and study the examples of Yemeni immigrant personalities and their role in building the societies to which they migrated.

c) Collecting and disseminating the heritage of the Hadramis immigrants for the benefit of all.
