Abstract EN

The tourism sector is one of the vital economic sectors on which many countries rely.

in order to maintain this sector, tourism organizations seek to preserve this sector through its development to be sustainable, hence the idea of the study as the idea is centered on the diagnosis of some factors that can have an important role in the development of sustainable tourism.

this study aims to identify the existing tourist situation in some tourist areas of the Kurdistan region of Iraq and then identify the factors that can affect tourism sustainable development in these tourist areas.

the problem of the study can be posed by the following research question: is it possible to diagnose factors that can have a significant role in the sustainability of tourism in the tourist areas of the Kurdistan region? in order to achieve the desired results, the researchers relied on the questionnaire method to collect field data.

the questionnaire will be distributed to a sample of individuals studied to determine the most important factors affecting sustainable tourism in their travels and trips.

and finally, the possibility of reaching a set of conclusions concerning the study, and then make a number of recommendations that support and develop the positive aspects, and address the negative aspects that could be an obstacle to sustainable tourism in the region.
