Abstract EN

This study aimed to examine the status of the use of ICT skills in Palestine in 2018 by identifying the differences and the gap between the categories of Palestinian society in terms of social and economic in the use of ICT skills based on the database of the monitoring of socio- economic conditions survey, 2018, which is considered the most important and largest national surveys covering important topics and indicators about the households and individuals, where the sample size reached 11,008 households, through the use of descriptive analysis.

The results of the study showed that there is an inequality in digital skills among individuals 18 years and over in the Palestinian society in terms of the distribution of ICT skills by region, type of locality, sex, educational level, age and labor force relationship Therefore, policies should be directed to reduce the digital divide among the Palestinian society by investing and developing ICT infrastructure in all Palestinian governorates.
