Abstract EN

This study belongs to descriptive studies.

a descriptive study is defined as:- research that presents the characteristics of a phenomenon quantitatively or qualitatively based on preliminary hypotheses prior to the study or without them in a more accurate way, in order to try to reach a forward-looking vision as a variable in social planning for the application of appropriate alternative punishments in Egyptian society.

therefore, the study aimed to achieve the following main goal: an attempt to develop a forward-looking vision as a variable in social planning for applying alternative punishments for deviants in Egyptian society.

this goal was achieved in light of achieving the following sub-objectives: 1.

identifying the types of alternative punishments that can be applied in Egyptian society.

2.

revealing the contribution of applying alternative punishments to criminals and society at the social level.

3.

revealing the economic contribution of applying alternative punishments to criminals and society.

4.

identify the negative effects of not applying alternative punishments to deviants instead of imprisonment.

5.

an attempt to develop a proposed planning vision to activate the application of alternative punishments in Egyptian society.

the results of the study led to answers to all the study’s questions.
