Abstract EN

Praise be to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family and all his companions.

The most honorable industry that a person engages in is the interpretation of the Qur’an, for it is the source of all wisdom, the source of all virtue, and the source of happiness in this world and the next.

Therefore, scholars, ancient and modern, have worked hard to contemplate the Qur’an and delve into the seas of its meanings, so they extracted pearls, and among these outstanding scholars is our great exegete Ibn Attia al-Andalusi (may God have mercy on him).

Thus, the current subject (Phrases of preferability and its forms according to Ibn Attia's interpretation (al-Muharrar al-Wajiz fi Tafsir al-Kitab al-Aziz) has been chosen.

The interpretation of Ibn Attia is considered one of the greatest practical works of his legacy, in which he collected many arts and presented the reasons for revelation, readings, Makki, Madani, hadith, jurisprudential rulings, language, literature, syntax, and citing the poetry of the Arabs.

Ibn Attia mentioned many preferential evidence in his interpretation, which was represented in several words and formulas that indicated that Imam Ibn Attia preferred a saying over the other saying or evidence over another for an advantage or description that increased the strength of the likely evidence or weakness of the other evidence.

These Forms and Phrases would be within the boundaries of my study and I have not found any an independent research written before.
