Irony is one of the stylistic techniques, or rhetorical mechanisms that are important in creating irony; Because when the poet uses his poetic texts as a means of irony or sarcasm, he moves the words from their natural context to another contradictory context, and irony is also one of the most important advantages of the poetic text in the modern poem, and one of the most important methods of expression that poets use, especially to express political and social issues, The aim of it is not to provoke laughter, as is the case in satire in ancient Arabic poetry, but rather it is a bitter paradox born from the womb of the difficult reality experienced by the poet, revolting against it, and criticizing it with sarcastic sarcasm.
