Abstract EN

Contemporary Arab linguistic research has a different aspect in the study of the question in the Arabic language based on methodological standpoints and many linguistic theories.

Generative linguistics considered the question as a superficial structure transformed from the deep structure which is the proven declarative structure, and monitored the conversion mechanism, and how to derive the superficial question structure from the deep declarative structure.

I have applied Chomsky's propositions to the question style in Arabic in its various generative models, towards the source theory, the theory of (S) and the linking theory that could be found in Arab researchers (Khaleel al-Aymara, Sameer Sharif Deek, Abdul Qader Al-Fassi Al- Fihri), (Sumaya Al-Makki), (Mustafa Galfan), and (Hafiz Ismaili Olaiwi)
