Research objective: The research aims to: Knowing the effect of a strategy based on the theory of neural pathways in developing critical thinking among students of Arabic language departments in colleges of education in the subject of grammar,Research hypothesis: To achieve the goal of the research, the researcher developed the following null hypotheses: There is no statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the experimental group students in the post and delayed critical thinking tests, according to the gender variable, and the average scores of the control group students in the critical thinking test, and according to the gender variable.

To achieve the goal of the research, the researcher chose the second-grade students sections of the Arabic language in the Faculties of Education in Babil Governorate for the academic year 2020-2021, and by the random pull method, the researcher chose Division (A) to represent the experimental group that will study the grammar according to a strategy based on the theory of neural pathways and by the fact (30) male and female students, while Division (B) represented the control group that would study grammar according to the usual method, and by (30) male and female students, the researcher conducted parity between students of the two groups of research in the following variables: The chronological age of students, calculated in months.After determining the material that will be studied during the period of the experiment, the researcher formulated the behavioral goals of the eight topics (96) ninety-six behavioral goals, and then presented to a group of arbitrators to demonstrate its validity.

The researcher prepared plans for the subjects to be taught during the period of the experiment, and the researcher studied the two groups of the research herself during the period of the experiment that lasted (12) twelve, and after the end of the experiment, the researcher applied the test of acquiring grammatical concepts, characterized by honesty and consistency.

Its validity, and after the expiry of the experiment period, the researcher applied the final test on the students of the two research groups, and after analyzing the results statistically, the researcher concluded: There is a difference between the two groups (experimental and control) in the acquisition of grammatical concepts, and for the benefit of the experimental group.

In light of the findings, the researcher recommended the following: The necessity of adopting the proposed strategic Arabic language teachers, because of their effectiveness in developing critical thinking.

Conducting a study similar to the current study to know the effectiveness of the strategy based on the theory of neural pathways in other dependent variables such as creative and innovative thinking and expressive performance.
